The Hainault Ancient Forest project focuses on the restoration of this Site of Special Scientific Interest, making the last remnants of the Forest of Essex more accessible to the public.
As part of the project, a cluster of existing buildings did undergo a full refurbishment where repurposed for various uses, including a visitors’ centre and offices. Structures Lab is providing full detailed design services including timber assessment and strengthening works design for the locally listed buildings.
